During the Fall Term of 2009, Mr. Paulnock is an Instructor within the Speech & Theatre Department and is Department Chair of English, Reading, Speech & Theatre at Saint Paul College.

Dan Paulnock is introducing two new courses of study to the Saint Paul College curriculum, during the academic year of 2009/2010.

Fundamentals of Public Speaking (Fast-Track/Eight Weeks)

SPCH1710

This course covers the basic principles of preparing, researching, and delivering informative, persuasive, impromptu, and extemporaneous speeches. In addition, this course will include audience analysis and suggestions for overcoming speech anxiety. Students will analyze and evaluate the arguments and rhetorical methods used in public communication. (MnTC: Goal 1 & 8) 3C/3/0/0
Stagecraft & Production

This course provides an introduction to Theatre Stagecraft and Production with units on acting, stage movement, set construction, paining, lighting, special effects and scenic design, among other topics. Participation in current theatre production is required (MnTC: Goal 6) 3C/3/0/0
Additionally, he is scheduled to provide instruction in both classroom and on-line course sections covering course topics of Family Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Introduction to Speech Communication and Exploring Theatre Arts.
